The hunt is on for a mystery blonde woman who allegedly smashed a restaurant manager over the head with her designer heels – after he posted an online appeal for identity.
Matt Meidinger used Twitter to broadcast a picture of the unknown woman, who he claims left him with blood pouring from his head after she attacked him with a Christian Louboutin shoe.
He said she turned on him in a San Francisco street after he intervened when she punched a stranger for accidentally kicking one of her treasured stilettos.
Along with the photo he wrote: 'Do you know this person? I'll pay you $500 for her last name.'
Police are now investigating the alleged assault, which Mr Meidinger said landed him in hospital.
Meidinger said he and two friends had been trying to hail a taxi after drinking at the Balboa Cafe.
He said they watched the woman, who was also leaving the cafe, as she took off her expensive high heels and switched them for flip-flops.
A passerby accidentally 'bumped' one of the shoes with his foot and as he turned to apologise the woman shouted at him and punched him in the face.
He wrote: 'I spoke up and said, "Whoa! Take it easy! Kicking a shoe doesn't equal a punch in the face, Louboutins or not!"
'As the guy turned around to tell me to mind my own business the woman ran up and said, "Yes, it does!" and came down on top of my head with her heels.'
Meidinger said he then called the police as blood streamed down his face, but one of the woman's two companions – described as men in their 30s – ran over and ordered him to hang up.
When he refused the man grabbed his phone, threw it across the street and punched him.
An onlooker offered his mobile phone and he dialled 911 as his two friends fought with the woman's companions.
Meidinger said she and the two men ran off before officers could reach the scene.
A message he later posted on his Twitter account said he had to spend the night in hospital after the attack.
